With over 16 years of experience working in a nursery, I've witnessed the incredible impact that early childhood education can have on a child's development. Currently serving as a SENCO lead in a nursery, my dedication to supporting children and families with special educational needs has become the driving force behind my professional journey.

My journey took an unexpected turn when I became a mother to a child with Autism. Navigating the challenges of securing the right support for my child opened my eyes to the gaps in the system. Contrary to my initial belief, the diagnosis marked not the beginning of robust support but rather a struggle for understanding and assistance.

Motivated by my own experiences, I embarked on a personal and professional transformation. Armed with a genuine passion for making a difference, I pursued a learning journey that led me to obtain a qualification in childcare.
